Today was a day of firsts.
Today Lyla fell on the drive way and cut her lip. It was the first time a booboo drew blood. She cried, I mean screamed! We cleaned her up and let her eat a skinny cow fudgesicle. I figured the cold would help the swelling and the taste would get her mind of her booboo. It worked!
Today we played in the rain after nap time. Lyla had fun reaching for the rain drops and splashing in puddles.
Today we bought Lyla her forward facing car seat. While I had plans of keeping her in her rear facing infant carrier for much longer, her long ole legs had different plans. The poor girl keeps her legs all bunched up in her seat because she can't straighten them. And while we could have purchased a car seat that can face forwards and backwards, we really liked the Graco Nautilus. It converts 3 times and will grow with her up to 100lbs.
Today was a day of first.

Sounds like a good day of firsts to me! The first big time "owie" is the most difficult for both momma and baby. Good news is that both of you will toughen up pretty quickly. (That is until you realize that your baby isn't a baby anymore and then you'll be a blubbering fool over everything that happens, good or bad...at that could just be me.)
