So I have not done a post, but we have been having a a fun Christmas season already. It started with our annual Christmas tree shopping the weekend following Thanksgiving. This has been a tradition in my family since I was about 3 years old and I'm so thankful that I get to share it with my husband and child. This year we opted for a new tree farm in Fredricskburg. We found a wonderful tree very quickly and it was extremely affordable. I think we will be going back next year. Unfortunately it was a little muddy and therefore Lyla was not a fan of running around. Oh life with a child who can't stand to get dirty.
She did have fun peeking in the holes....

Daddy and the beautiful blue ice tree. So different and fun.

Lyla helped mommy decorate it when we got home.

Today Lyla and I were invited over to our friend Laura's house to make gingerbread houses. Laura was up until 2AM baking the gingerbread house frames. What a trouper. Lyla had a blast playing with friends and decorating her house. It was a crazy decorating frenzy around the table with about 10 kids all working on their houses, but oh so much fun.
Lyla was very proud of her finished product. Yes, I got to help a little too.
