This isn't my favorite picture. It was taken after a very long day. It also kind of makes me look a little bigger than I am, but I think it's because of the way I positioned my arms.
This is a better picture of the belly. Andy took this last night during a late night (10:00PM) snack on a handful of honey nut cheerios! There is no denying the bump!!!So, the update is I am now in my second trimester! I made it through the first one with little complaints. I'm a little more tired than usual, but luckily I can take little cat naps during my conference and lunch at school. In fact, Andy even bought me a mat to make my napping more comfortable. We are getting very excited about the growth of the baby. I am looking forward to finding out the sex of the baby and feeling movement!
On another note, this past weekend was a stressful one. Andy's grandmother, Lupe Gonzales, went into cardiac arrest at a wedding reception and had to be taken to the hospital via EMS. She has been on a respirator for over 48 hours now. They put her in an induced hypothermic state for 24 hours, I believe to try to stabilize her heart beat and blood pressure. Both were very unstable. Her heart beat was jumping from 74 to 150 with each beat. Her blood pressure was dropping to 110/70 (something) and then soaring to 213/110. She is still in ICU. I believe they are working on taking her off the respirator at this point to see how she will react. Please keep her and Andy's family in your prayers.
