First doctor appointment

The baby is face down, but it's face is turned towards you. The spine is on top and the legs are curling under on the right.
This is Andy's favorite. Eat 'em up Cats!!

It's hard to see, but the feet are in a frog or diamond position, so at the bottom left are the feet and the top right is the cute little bottom.
This is my favorite. I think the baby is playing peek-a-boo. This is the one where my mom decided her grandbaby is an alien.
Another picture of the baby facing down.

Well, we had our first appointment on Monday. It was the craziest thing ever. This is a new doctor for me because as you read earlier, I've never had an OBGYN. We waited for 35 minutes. I was finally called back, asked if I had my sonogram; which I replied no to. The nurse got mad at me until I explained this was my first appointment ever and no one told me to go get a sonogram. She was able to squeeze us in for the sonogram (pictures above). That was really cool. We got to see our baby for the first time. First, I was excited that there was only one. For those of you who don't know, that was a major stress for us. Twins don't run in our family, but I just had it in my head that it could happen. Second, it was so neat to see the baby. We got to watch him/her play around for 3 minutes before he/she finally settled down enough to get a reading on the heartbeat. We also found out that I was a week off. I am officially 11 weeks and 4 days as of today. The baby is also measuring at 11 weeks. My due date has been set for April 5th. We went back to the doctor's office, waited some more, finally met with the doctor. We are seeing Dr. DeLaGarza with Seven Oaks Womens and we love her! Then I was sent upstairs to get blood work done. After taking 3 vials of blood, they realized I was sent with another women's paperwork. I went back down to the doctor's office, got my paperwork and luckily it was the same blood work that was needed. Finally after 2.5 hours we were able to leave. Andy and I were both exhausted, but very excited. Seeing our little one made the pregnancy "official" for us.

As for me, the bump is really starting to show. I promise I will get a picture of me soon. Andy is starting to rub my belly more and I think he finally sees me as pregnant. He is much more willing to rub my feet and help out. Speaking of Andy, he is moving around much better. He has been going to physical therapy for two weeks. He has 2 and a half weeks left off of work. He is staying up late and sleeping late. This habit is a bad one, but he is having a hard time reverting back.

Our friends Jon and Emily and their two boys stayed with us Thursday through yesterday. It was fun to have them in our house. Gavin (the two and a half year old) was so much fun. He was always so excited to see us walk in the door. Elliot (the 8 month old) was the happiest baby ever. We also got a taste of life with kids. Their house is fine, but they are not heading back to Houston yet. They are going to do some camping to give them all a change of senery. They still don't have power and several trees on their street are down. Hopefully they will be able to head back home to some normalcy soon.

Well, I think you are all updated now. I am sorry for the long blog. A lot has happened lately.
