Two Weeks

Well, Lyla is two weeks old today (Thursday). I can't believe how fast the time flies. We are already starting to see some changes. Her face is filling out more. Her checks are getting rounder. She is getting stronger at holding her head up. She is sleeping longer at night and staying up more during the day. The hard part about her being up is that she wants to be held. She isn't a big fan of her bouncy seat (unless mom has her hand on Lyla's chest) and she only likes her swing for about 15 minutes.

Yesterday (Wednesday) was an exhausting day. Lyla was wanting to eat about every 1.5 to 2 hours and didn't want to be put down in between. She cried a lot! It was so frustrating when I had fed her, burped her and changed her. What else did she want? I know it's part of the learning/mommy process. By about 10:30 I finally melted down. I was crying, she was crying, and my sweet husband was doing everything he could to help. He took Lyla to give me a chance to unwind.

All in all, we are loving life as parents. It is the greatest gift!

Sweet girl!

Oh Honey. Don't worry. Every parent has had those day. I always felt like I should know what my baby wants right? WRONG. They don't always know what they want. So no worries, just take a deep breath and remember that this time only lasts a shot time.

Oh the crying! I'm not sure who cried more during that first month, me or the boys. It's such a new and different world and you're just thrown in head first. It'll get better-I promise! Lyla's looks just precious! You're doing a wonderful job mommy!
