Someone hates me

Tonight Andy wanted to go see a movie after Lyla and I went to bed. I knew it was a bad idea. I thought Tank would keep me up. (Yes, 2 weeks later Tank is still living with us). But, Tank was fine. After a rough night's sleep Sunday night I thought I would fall right to sleep and wake up in the morning rested. Nothing comes that easily. At 12:15AM, 2.5 hours after I went to bed Lyla woke up crying. I got her back to sleep in 10 minutes (I think she was cold) and crawled back in bed. Unfortunately, I was wide awake. I tossed and turned for an hour before finally giving up and decided to curl up on the couch and watch tv until I fell back asleep. Good plan, right? WRONG!!!! It is now 3:30 in the morning and I am still awake. Oh, and did I forget to mention I have to get up at 5:10. I honestly think I'll still be awake when my alarm goes off.

Needless to say I was and am a little (okay a lot) frustrated with Andy. If he had been home then he could have taken care of Lyla and I would still be asleep. Now is it really his fault that I have an awful case of insomnia? No, but it didn't help matters that while I'm up with a crying baby and then wake for the next 3.5 hours and counting, my husband was off enjoying himself at a movie with a friend.

So here I am, dreading Tuesday. It's going to be a long day with only 2.5 hours of sleep. Oh...and the baby is crying again.....nice.

My sleeping problems started about Tucker. Part of it was the PPD (which I am NOT saying that you have, just that the two hit at the same time) and the other part was having an infant. It also doesn't help that I'm a light sleeper anyway so that smallest noise and I am awake.
I'm so sorry.
I honestly don't think some dads understand that true meaning of a good night's sleep. They have no clue what good that would do for us moms.
