I have been wanting to blog about this issue for a while. Get it off my chest so-to-speak, but wasn't sure whether it was appropriate or not. I've decided what the heck. It's my blog.
So let's start by saying I've never been a "chesty" girl. For the first 25 years of my life I enjoyed appropriate sizes boobs that were perky and cute (if I do say so myself). Then along came pregnancy and oh boy did the girls grow. I'm talking 2 cups sizes. I have to say I didn't mind. It was a nice ride, well, until my belly outgrow the boobs. Then I had Lyla and along came breastmilk. As those of you who have been through this know, they can grow a cup size in over a hour as the milk comes in.While wearing nursing pads wasn't the greatest thrill, I still quite enjoyed being more vuluptious than I had ever been. And then it happened. I gave up nursing (or in my case pumping). And everything went south. Literally! Shrunken, saggy, lifeless boobs are what I have been left with. It's just another hard reality. The body changes after having a baby. I understand that. I accept that. But it doesn't make it easier.
I know what you're thinking. Just put on a push up bra and move on. Well, that's not so easy. See I teach dance. And with that comes sports bras and thus, the uni-boob. I've always had the uniboob. It just use to be higher and a little rounder. I find myself teaching in front of the mirror and becoming distracted by this flat oddly shaped things on my chest. It's frustrating and annoying. Not to mention none of my sports bras provide the support that firmless lumps need. So I did what needed to be done. I went out today about bought a few new sports bras with shaped cups inside.
For the most part I deal and move on. And I will enjoy some purchased liftage (yes, I'm pretty sure I made up that word). And someday, when I'm done having babies I might just have to find a wonderful doctor who can put the girls back where they belong. And while I'm at it, I might just have some extra life pumped in.

Oh girl! No fear...I know a wonderful doc that can pull all that back into place. He's in Dallas and he does that after baby mommy makeovers. Yes right after you have the baby,...he gets to work. Two of my friends have done it and they look amazing! Save you money...anything can be fixed!

Ahh, the beauty of teaching teenage girls with beyond perky and perfect boobs...
Just wait till you get pregnant with #2-they'll be back (more than ever) and you'll be A-Ok for a good year.
But I totally agree with doctor-assisted-liftage!
Oh hallejuia! Someone finally put it out there! Aubrey, I feel ya honey. The sports bra is a momma's worst nightmare. They do no justice to the poor things they used to be. I'm with you on the liftage. Signing up as soon as I'm finished with babies too!
