Fredericksburg Peaches

Last week while I was in Vegas I got a call from Andy. His deer mount was ready for pick up. So yesterday we got up and moving and headed out to Fredericksburg to pick up this....
One happy man, let me tell you! But before we picked up the deer, we stopped at Marburger Orchard to pick peaches. We've been talking about doing this since we picked strawberries back in April. It didn't take long to fill up our little box, but it was fun. The peach trees were low enough for Lyla to pick a few off the branches.


We then headed off to pick up the mount and then we were off to downtown Fredericksburg. We walked the shops for a while. Andy of course had to stop at the music shop. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was so much more to the Christmas Shoppe. I've been in there a couple of times, but didn't realize all the little shops in the back. Including, my favorite candles...Circle E. They smell fabulous and are a great price! 40 oz for $26!!! Can't beat that!

We made our way to the park area and had a great picnic under a tree. It was so cool! There was a fabulous breeze and add that in with the shade from the tree and it felt like 10-15 degrees cooler. We stayed there for over an hour. Lyla got to run around, push her stroller, and just play. Andy and I got to relax.

It truly was the perfect day!
