Sonogram and testing

Well, I had my 3 hour glucose test today. Andy went with me. What a trouper of a husband. We left the house at 7:00AM, got to the lab at 8:00AM and started my testing. Andy and I hung out in the waiting room for the whole three hours. Having to have blood drawn every hour kind of kept us from going anywhere. We did get some work done though. Andy helped me cut some music for contest. I got to read my book and Andy played on the computer. Thank God for free WiFi in our doctor's office and building.

At 11:00AM we headed down stairs to our sonogram appointment. We got to see our sweet girl (who is getting bigger every day) and found out that my placenta is now over 7 centimeters away from my cervix. This was GREAT news!! I now have a "mid-lying placenta" instead of a "low-lying placenta". Also, this means that I will be able to have a vaginal delivery (as long as everything else goes well during labor). Andy and I were so thankful and very relieved. I don't want to have a c-section unless absolutely necessary.

We have our next doctor's appointment on Monday and will hopefully have the results from the glucose test. I'm really hoping that I passed! I don't want to have to go through all the gestational diabetes stuff. Keep praying and I will keep you posted.

Below are a few of our sonogram pictures. They are kind of grainy, but I think that is because she is getting so big that she takes up too much of the screen. Lyla is measuring at 32 weeks which is only 2 days ahead of me, so we are still right on target. She is weighing in at 3 pound 15 ounces, which is the 50th percentile.

Here she is with her hand up over her face. Every time we see her she has her hands up. I think she is practicing her touch down moves for football season.

This one is hard to see what is going on, but she is holding her foot in her hand.

Here is another profile picture. Andy at first thought she had my lips, but I think she has Andy's. I guess we'll find out in 8 weeks.
