Once I finally came to a stop I realized that the van behind me had been hit. He rolled the van and ended up landing on the passenger side.
The vehicle that hit both of us ended up backing in to the guard rail. As I caught my breath and took in everything around me, I thought I needed to call 911. At that moment was when I noticed a Comal Road Department truck had pulled up behind me and was radioing what I assumed was 911. I got out of my car, called Andy and tried to take in everything that had just happened. The guy in the van was able to crawl out of his window, which was facing the sky. The driver (a 15 year old on his second month with his permit) was fine, but his step mom, who was in the passenger seat, ended up having to be air lifted to a trauma unit. (I just found out that she is fine).
Throughout the morning I talked to the woman who was two cars behind me. She stayed as a witness for me. She said she saw everything. I talked to the guy who was in the van and many of the EMS workers. I never talked to the driver that hit me. I didn't want to go up asking for insurance when his mother was just put on a helicopter. We were able to get the information from the State Trooper.
At this point we are still waiting to find out if my car will be totaled or not. Considering it's 5 years old, we are expecting that it will be a total loss. I am so sad about this because I love my car, and it was almost paid off. But I am very thankful that no one had serious injuries. I am especially thankful that Lyla wasn't in the car with me.
This picture is taken where my car ended up. Right in front of the fire truck is where my car got hit. Behind the fire truck is where the car that hit me ended up.

So glad you are okay, no one was seriously hurt and Lyla wasn't in the car.
Just in case you didn't know if Lyla's car seat was in the car it needs to be replaced as well even though she wasn't in it. The insurance should cover it just like your car.
I was so about to tell you about the car seat but I see that someone beat me to it!
I am so glad you are ok!
