Summer Schedule

Today Andy started his summer schedule. This means several things. For Andy it means he doesn't have to travel to The Geneva School of Boerne 3 times a week to teach. All of his students now come to him. For me, it means I get to have my husband at home all summer (even if he is working). But it also means that I must keep the house cleaned and I can't just lay around on the couch and stay in my jammies all day. But before Andy starts telling me I'm always complaining, I must say that it is a small price to pay.

This is Andy's second summer to be self employed. He went full time teaching October 2008. Last summer was scary. Would he keep all of his students? Would we have enough money to get through? Not to mention his first summer was also when my pay check was cut for two months from my maternity leave and we had a new baby to add to expenses. But as always, God provided. He kept the students coming. God has continued to be faithful through Andy's first full school year of being a full time private voice and guitar teacher. This summer, I believe will continue to be great. While Andy did a lose a few students for the summer, he more than made up for it with summer only students. God is Good!

So, yes, some days I might just get tired of cleaning up and dressing up (or dressing period), but I hope to not forget how grateful I am to a God that allows my husband to live his dream of owning his own business and teaching music.

And I'm especially thankful that he only has to work 4 hours a day 4 days a week. Doesn't get much sweeter than this.

So, summer schedule means Andy teaching from home, Aubrey cleaning, and all three of us exploring the Zoo, Sea World, the lake and many other fun family adventures.
