Coast Trip

We took our annual coast trip with my parents and sister this past weekend. It was Lyla's first time to see the ocean. She did great! She "played" in the waves and in the pool. She didn't love the water, but she didn't hate it. I think she was just trying to figure out what it was and what to do with it. She did fine when some water splashed her face. She even did okay with the salty taste on her hands.

It was definitely different traveling to the beach with a baby. We had so much stuff to take down every day. My parents bought Lyla a little tent that she hung out in when she was done with ocean time.

We stayed at the Island House in North Padre. My uncle found these condos about 10 years ago and we started staying. We love them and go back every year. We spent two days on the beach and then went to the Texas State Aquarium on Sunday after check out. I hadn't been since I was little and Andy had never been. It was so cool. I can't wait to take Lyla back when she is bigger.

Lyla sure was spoiled on this trip. Between Grammy Tammy, Big Guy, and Aunt Autumn, she had constant entertainment.
